At Valparaiso High School he played French horn in band, and, while in the choir, was named as one of the top tenors while singing with the Varsity Singers.
For the past six years he has performed throughout Northwest Indiana with Dynamic Box, a three piece rock band.
Chris says he likes to keep learning fun while still including the basics of guitar. His favorite kind of music is alternative rock, but he enjoys the basic acoustic guitar sound.

Becky identifies with young people, not only because she has a 16 year old daughter herself, but also because she began her formal music training at age 12. She learned to love guitar, piano and voice and performed in many choirs, recitals and operas at VU, as well as with a traveling Christian musical group.
JOHN COSTA - Began playing the guitar at the age of sixteen. He demonstrates styles including Folk, Blues, and Rock. However, a full blown love of the country blues began with the inception of the harmonica into his life eight years ago. John immediately began an intense study of the harmonica, bringing him to the "Old Town School of Folk Music" in Chicago, where the level of devotion to the instrument is high.
This passion for music has culminated into him becoming an instructor of both guitar and harmonica. He has been heard at various venues throughout Northwest Indiana and Chicago Illinois. He has taught at major harmonica conventions (SPAH) and The Buckeye Harmonica Convention). He continues to explore the role of the harmonica and guitar in both the old timey and traditional styles.

Bachelor's degree in violin and orchestral performance from the
Music Department of Nanjing College of Arts, Nanjing PRC. He served as

graduation in 1993. He has taught many successful students who became
professionals, principle players at school orchestras, or won competitions
at local and state level, advanced or just starting, could all benefit
immensely from Mr. Meng's expertise as well as his contagious personality.
The core of Mr. Meng's teaching philosophy is to impart his love for music,
